In an exclusive interview and talk from the heart / Mohammed Yamani … the official spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity and Energy New and Renewable told ..lvriv work “H2Hnews” in terms of new projects for the Ministry of Electricity and specifically stations (Beni Suef, Borollos, the new administrative capital) follows on the lips of sovereignty …
It is my pleasure and my participation Fakheri attendance at this important event to witness for the first time in the Middle East and Africa, the installation of the first of the kind Trpenten Turbine (H-Class) in Beni Suef electricity generating station with a session project 4800 MW installed capacity of …
This project is part of the projects being implemented by Siemens in cooperation with Egyptian companies (Orascom, Swedish) to create a three-generating power plants with a combined cycle with a total of 14,400 capabilities megawatts sites (Beni Suef, Borollos, the new administrative capital) in the light of the actions carried out sector electricity and renewable energy to cope with the steady increase in demand for electric power and meet the overall requirements of development on the land of Egypt in all fields ranging from new axis of the Suez Canal and through the development of the most needy villages, as well as population growth and differences in consumption patterns, all of which are major factors in the increased demand for energy .
This project also is part of the actions taken by the electricity and renewable energy sector is to activate the agreements signed through the support and development of the economy and the Egyptian Sharm el-Sheikh in March 2015 conference …
Power Plant Project Beni Suef also aims to strengthen the national network capabilities of 4,800 MW, which helps to meet the requirements of development not only in Beni Suef province, but to contribute to the fulfillment of economic, social, agricultural and tourism development in Upper Egypt given by the State requirements great interest.
The project consists of a number 4 Module Each Module consists of:
· Number two gas turbine capacity of 400 megawatts each.
· Number 1 steam turbine capacity of 400 MW.
· Number 2 boiler to recover energy.
· Number 3 generators.
4 Number of turbines has reached the site Beni Suef power station of these giant turbines and the station will be the national electricity grid to link the effort of 500 kV, which will add 2400 megawatts until 31/12/2016 and adding 400 megawatts by 2017 and that the project is in full operation in April 2018 by adding the remaining 2000 MW ….
It is worth mentioning that the gas turbines that have been developed on the bases of concrete station Beni Suef type ((H-Class)) is the latest global technology in this area is characterized by its suitability to the requirements of electric power production in Egypt in terms of high capacity and efficiency in excess of 60%, which leads to reduce fuel consumption and reduce harmful emissions as well as it is characterized by rapidly entering the electrical grid and flexibility of operation and verify the largest possible number of required hours of operation and up to (only 100,000 hours one hundred thousand operating hours).
The investment cost for the power plant project Beni Suef, about 2 billion euros divided as follows:
– Share Siemens: 1.215 billion euros.
· Foreign Created: about 1.203 billion euros.
· Created a foreigner pays equivalent Egyptian: 11.338 million euros
– Share the Swedish company: 785 million euros.
· Foreign Created: 235.5 million euros.
· Created a foreigner pays the Egyptian equivalent: 549.5 million euros.
The project is the implementation of the system EPC + Finance to shorten the implementation period and to reduce the overlaps between the contractors and the speed of River project in the timings specified time for him.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The investment cost for the three projects stations implemented by Siemens for the benefit of the company’s Egyptian Electricity Holding about 6 billion euros.
With a total foreign component, which will be paid equivalent Egyptian share of Siemens 59.273 million euros and has a total foreign component, which will be paid by the Egyptian equivalent of the share of local partners to 1.324 billion euros and thus the total foreign component, which will be paid equivalent Egyptian about 1.383 billion euros, which is equivalent to 11 billion LE, which represents 23% of the total investment cost.
It has been an accelerated timetable for the implementation of these projects set up in preparation for entry into the electric grid gradually in line with the evolution of loads during the next three years as follows:
· Total capacity, which will be entered until the month of December 2016: 4,400 MW.
· Total capacity, which will be entered until the month of May 2017: 5,600 MW.
· Total capacity, which will be entered until the month of December 2017: 8,800 MW.
· It will be completed by the introduction of the rest of capacity during the month of May 2018, bringing the total capacity that have been made to 14,400 megawatts of electrical grid.
Total number of suppliers for projects Siemens 205 supplier has reached the level of the world, reflecting the size of the business locations of these stations and coordination necessary between these suppliers, and of this number involved in these projects 65 Egyptian supplier, which allows the transfer of advanced technology to the Egyptian companies working in the energy sectors and construction, transportation and services .. and others.
This has been executing companies managed to stay ahead of the timetable that has been developed for the implementation of these projects, especially in the Beni Suef plant project where the percentage of completion of 36.4% which was higher than planned, according to the schedule as in Borollos Station percentage achievement of 28.3% and the percentage of completion of new capital plant 20.9% .
And it supports the electricity sector on a strict mechanism for weekly follow-up with Siemens AG and local partners as well as to conduct field visits to determine the evolution of the implementation of the business and to remove any obstacles facing the executing companies, which helped to get things done in line with the timetable that has been set up, and in this regard I am pleased to extend my thanks Siemens German support and cooperation fruitful and constructive with electricity and renewable energy sector and also thank local partners and all those who were joined at the completion of this monumental work …
